The Life Guard™ Personal Emergency Response System consists of a medical alarm console with a wearable help button and an emergency call response monitoring service.

A Personal Emergency Response System (PERS) gives independent living seniors and the disabled a safe, secure and dependable way to contact others instantly in a personal emergency.

A PERS has three components:

  • A small radio transmitter (a help button carried or worn by the user)
  • A console that connects easily to the user’s telephone
  • An emergency call response center to monitor all calls 24-hours a day, 7-days a week.

The medical alarm console contains an electronic receiver connected to a regular telephone line, much like an answering machine. The console is linked to a waterproof wristband or pendant help button. When the button is pushed, the local call response center is contacted immediately.

Highly-trained responders on duty 24/7, make immediate contact through the built-in powerful 2-way speakerphone, evaluate the situation, notify designated emergency contacts, and can dispatch an ambulance or other emergency 911 personnel in seconds.
